Parents and Guardians must report a student’s absence in one of the following ways:
- App - Using your mobile device, download and install the SM Home app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store (or from the links at SchoolMessenger ). The first time you use theapp, select Sign Up to create your account. Select Attendance then Report an Absence.
- Website - Use the SafeArrival website SchoolMessenger . The first time you use the website, select Sign Up to create your account. Select Attendance then Report an Absence.
- Phone - Call the toll-free number at (888) 403-5520 to report an absence using the automated phone system.
- Attendance Line - 440-740-4715
These options are available 24 hours/day, 7 days a week. Future absences can be reported at any
time.
When reporting an absence, please provide the following information:
- Student first and last name
- Grade level
- Reason for absence
- Time of arrival/dismissal or date of absence
- Parent/Guardian name and number

Leaving Early
- Pick up your pass in the attendance office
- Scan out in the lobby and give your pass to staff
- Meet parent/guardian outside
Feeling Sick
- Stop by the nurse's office
- The nurse will give you a pass
- Scan out in the lobby and give your pass to staff
- Meet parent/guardian outside
